English 📚

Core Subject.

Sessions are available for 5 - 11 year old, with lessons that are carefully tailored to meet your child's needs and abilities. All of my resources are provided and adapted to scaffold your child. By support their learning in a step-by-step manner, this will help them build confidence and reach their full potential.

Usually used for: SATs preparation.

Topics can include: Letter formation, Sentence Structure, Paragraphs, Persuasive techniques, Technical Terminology, etc.

Maths 🎲

Core Subject.

Suitable for 5 - 11 year old children. During the first lesson, your child will informally be assessed to identify their key strengths and areas for development. Learning can then be tailored to fill the gaps that are presented in your unique child. Concrete resources and visual resources are used in a fun and creative way to build confidence, support understanding and make learning engaging.

Usually used for: SATs preparation

Topics can include: Counting, Multiplying, Addition, Subtraction, Division, Arrays, etc.

 

Science 🧪

Core Subject.

Supportive and comprehensive support of abstract scientific concepts, helping children to build confidence and strengthen understanding. 

Topics can include: Plants, Animals (including Humans), Everyday Materials, Working Scientifically, Rocks, Light, Forces and Magnets, Earth and Space.

Phonics 😸

Comes under Core Subject (English)

Fully experienced in teaching Oxford Owl Floppy Phonics to children aged 5+, supporting their early reading, writing and spelling skills through fun, practical, confidence-building lessons tailored towards your child.

Topics can include: grapheme recognition, digraph recognition, split digraph combining letters sounds with blending to create words, sound recognition, split digraphs, technical terminology.

History ⚔️

Foundation Subject.

Supportive and investigatory exploration of historical concepts for children to build their confidence in the subject.

Topics can include: British History, Significant Real-Life Events, Monarchs and Royal History, The Stone/Bronze/Iron Age, The Roman Empire, The Vikings, Local History.

Geography 🏜️

Foundation Subject.

In depth dive into the worlds differing countries and continents to allow children to develop understanding of the wider world.

Topics can include: Location Knowledge, Place Knowledge, Human and Physical Geography, Skills and Fieldwork.

Design Technology 🛠️

Foundation Subject.

Helping your child to design, make, evaluate a product that they create, developing and understanding of how to make a product for a specific customer.

Topics include: Designing, Making, Improving, Evaluating and Technical Knowledge. 

Art 🖼️

Foundation Subject.

Passionate and free-flow exploration of materials to help children develop confidence in creativity and building artistic skills.

Topics can include: Sketching and Drawing, Painting, Printing, 2D and 3D Structures, Collage, Craft and Design, Artist knowledge and appreciation.
